Basilar Invagination and Atlanto-Axial Dislocation Video 1


This video demonstrates the technique of DCER in a patient with C1 arch not assimilated. Here, first the margin of foramen magnum is decompressed, after which the spacers are applied within the C1/C2 spaces. This is followed by a technique of compression and extension leading to reduction of AAD.
