Christopher Bonfield

Christopher Bonfield, MD

Dr. Christopher Bonfield is an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center/Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital, where he directs the Pediatric NeuroSpine, Neurosurgery Scoliosis and Spine Deformity, Pediatric Neurosurgical Craniofacial, and Global Neurosurgery programs. He received his MD and completed neurosurgery residency and complex spine surgery fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh. He also completed a pediatric neurosurgery fellowship with pediatric spine subspecialty training at the University of British Columbia/BC Children’s Hospital. His interests include pediatric and adult complex spine surgery and general pediatric neurosurgery, focused on craniofacial and spinal deformity surgery. He is also active in global neurosurgery efforts.
