Dear DSPN members, colleagues, friends:
It is with a heavy heart that we have learned of the sudden tragic passing of our close friend and colleague, Dr. Lynda Jun-San Yang. She was a respected member of our neurosurgical family and will be sorrowfully missed by all.
Dr. Yang was a prominent leader of the DSPN Section and inspired innumerable young women and men on their journey to improve the multidisciplinary care of the peripheral nervous system. We intend to do what we can to soften this tragedy and honor Dr. Yang’s memory at Spine Summit 2023.
Per the University of Michigan, funeral services will be held at Ochalek Stark Funeral Services in Milan, Michigan – Tues., Sep. 20 at 11am. Visitation hours will be from 2-8 pm on Mon. (Sep. 19) and 10-11 am Tues. (Sep. 20) at Ochalek Stark. Both visitation and funeral services are open to the public.
On behalf of the AANS/CNS Division of Spine & Peripheral Nerves, our most sincere condolences to the Yang family and all those that have been touched by her kind, dedicated, heartfelt grace.
Adam Kanter, MD
Chair, Division of Spine & Peripheral Nerves
